My teeth are all straight except one and i have a slight overbite but i dont want to have the ‘metal mouth’ look of braces… so how much does invisalign cost… and does it work?

I’m getting married on July 22. I had my impressions taken a week ago. I would really like to get them going as soon as possible so some improvement can be made before my wedding! I only need the Invisalign Express so it shouldn’t take long, once I get them that is!

"Express" has to do with length in treatment, not in the amount of time it takes to get trays made.

All Invisalign trays are manufactured in Costa Rica and they are delivered to dental offices within about two weeks after the case is accepted.

However, there is a time interval from the time impressions are sent to the lab and the "ClinCheck" visit, where the patient views a virtual image of their teeth moving through the treatment. If you’ve just had impressions taken, you will have to see and approve the case before it goes to be manufactured.

You will probably have trays delivered by the end of May, but that only gives you June and part of July for treatment.

I’m sure you’ll look beautiful at your wedding with, or without, the Invisalign results.

I got my teeth bleached at my dentist. I do not drink coffee and I do not smoke. However, she said I should keep off colored foods/drinks (tea, red wine, chocolate, fruit) for a week, but it seems a little exaggerated. Can I eat strawberries?

you can eat anything anytime, but the sooner u eat things with a strong colour the more likely that your teeth will pick up the colour as they are more prone to straight after bleaching. if you do eat these things just try to brush after, or rinse around with water.

I only need to straighten my bottom teeth, and my dentist recommended Invisalign. I was given a rough quote of $5000, but I don't think this was customized to my case. Does anyone know if Invisalign costs less if you only fix the top or bottom teeth, or is it $5000 always? Also, my insurance says it covers 50% of orthodontics but doesn't mention Invisalign. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

I do lots of Invisalign in my practice.

Invisalign charges us the same whether just the top teeth are done, just the bottom teeth are done, or if both top and bottom are done.

So in 99% of the cases a dentist will charge you the same whether you do just one arch or 2.

Simply because our bill to Invisalign is the same. And whether or not you are wearing one tray or two does not change the number of visits or the amount of chairtime we schedule for you.

I always hear about the professional teeth bleaching that can be done at the dentist..either the trays or the brightsmile thing (machine) at the dentist (cannot recall what machine is called). What was your experience, was it worth the hundreds of dollars that the insurance unfortunately does not pay)???? Did it get much whiter?

it does get whiter but not a whole lot.

My teeth are too crooked and crowded to start with invisalign, but I'm 18 years old and I don't want metal braces for three years. Could I get traditional braces now and in about a year or so move to invisalign?

i work in an Otho office and some patient star out with invisalign, but have to get braces because the invisalign trays don't really fix the bite. your best bet is probably braces. there are alot of people you age with traditional braces, and most of them wear the clear ceramic brackets. braces are cheaper too. if you did the braces first, and switched to invisalign, you would be paying pretty much double. invisalign is more expensive, because the dentist has to pay a rather large fee for each patient. the fee is around $1000. and the average treatment time for braces is only 2 years. and you know, you are still very young, and 2 years is nothing compared to the rest of your life. you should just go for it.

It depends on the route you want to go and the area you live. There are pretty much 3 options for bleaching. You can do an over the counter type whitening system (like Crest White Strips). Those are the least expensive. The second option is to have whitening trays made in the dental office that you buy bleaching gel and bleach at home. The most expensive option is to have your teeth bleached in office, such as Sapphire Whitening or Zoom2. That tends to be the most expensive. I know in my area Zoom and Sapphire cost anywhere from $600 to $900, while the trays cost around $300, and the strips cost about $40.

I'm getting married on July 22nd, and I'm going for a consultation for Invisalign on Tuesday. My teeth are pretty much straight, but the 2 front top teeth are turned in a little so that in pictures I look like I have a gap in my teeth from certain angles! It may sound silly, but I want to look my best on my special day, and it's something that has been bothering me for a long time. It only happened since my wisdom teeth came in and crowded the others. I should have had them removed! Anyway, I'm just wondering if I will see any difference in my teeth in four months with invisalign.
